Live entertainment and theaters can reopen starting on May 1 in Washington DC!
I hope you miss magic shows as much as I miss performing them.
Mayor Bowser has opened up the seating capacity to 25% indoors and outdoors with a limit of 500 people. As of last week, it was limited to only 10 people indoors.
This is a huge step for people in the entertainment industry--many of whom have been devastated by the pandemic. While entertainment isn't 'essential' I can't imagine making it through this pandemic without all of my streaming entertainment.
If you made it through the pandemic unscathed--go support a local artist. Go to live a live show, stop by the Improv, hire a tour guide to walk you through the city.
Most importantly, please comply with all of the new safety measures. I know they're inconvenient and at times they will feel frustrating. The venues are just trying to follow the rules, protect their staff, and their patrons.
